HQ Equita becomes NEXX Capital
Since April 2025, we have been operating under the new name NEXX Capital GmbH. This change of name is part of a strategic move that took place in the course of a generational transition within the Harald Quandt Group and at the same time reflects our dynamic development into a future-oriented investment partner.
The future is built on heritage
NEXX Capital has been one of the leading equity partners for mid-sized companies in German-speaking countries for more than three decades. Originally founded by the Harald Quandt family office, which initially pooled the investments of Harald Quandt’s descendants, the firm has evolved into a private equity investor with a broad entrepreneurial and institutional investor base. This entrepreneurial background has shaped the culture and the values of the NEXX Capital team. This is the foundation of our understanding of the structures and challenges of medium-sized companies. Long-term thinking, reliability, continuity, and partnership-based cooperation are key guiding principles in the development of our investments.
In 2024, we entered into a strategic partnership with Verdane, who acquired a significant minority stake in Fund V and the management company NEXX Capital GmbH as part of a GP-led transaction. Since then, we have been jointly supporting the development of the portfolio companies in close collaboration.
Building on this foundation, we are dynamically positioning ourselves for the future. Our focus is on the industrial technology, IT services, software, business services, and healthcare sectors – particularly medical technology. With our long-standing team and extensive networks, we have strong expertise, especially in identifying and implementing proprietary investment opportunities.

Senior Office Manager
Daniela joined the team in 2007 and, as Senior Office Manager, uses her strong organizational skills to oversee not only day-to-day business, but also office organization and central back-office processes. She began her career in the financial sector in 2003. Before joining our company, she worked in corporate finance at PwC. She completed her training as an office communications clerk at the Frankfurt Chamber of Industry and Commerce. Strategic thinking combined with operational excellence are part of her professional identity.

Jan Herwig
Partner | Legal & Investor Relations
Jan has been part of the team since 2005. His experience in the investment business provides a solid foundation for both the company’s day-to-day operations and the strategic direction of the firm. As a Partner responsible for Legal and Investor Relations, Jan has focused on structuring and ongoing fund management since 2013, alongside leading investor relations at NEXX Capital. He is a fully qualified lawyer, having studied at the University of Münster, passing his second state examination in Dresden, and completing specialist foreign language training in English for lawyers.

Kim Loos
Executive Assistant
Since mid-2024, Kim supports the company’s strategic and organizational processes as an Executive Assistant. Her professional career in the financial sector began in 2010 and led her to NEXX Capital via positions at NIBC Bank and Rothschild & Co. With a degree in business administration, a certified qualification as hotel management assistant, and professional experience at Starwood Hotels, she combines organizational talent with in-depth industry expertise.

Hans J. Moock
Partner I Managing Director
With four and a half decades of professional experience, Hans has been playing a key role in shaping the development of NEXX Capital as a Partner and Managing Director since 2005. Active in the private equity industry since 1998 (including as a Senior Partner at EQT), his professional career has taken him to the Bertelsmann Group, the Treuhandanstalt, LEK Consulting, and Bain & Company. He is a graduate of INSEAD Business School in Fontainebleau (MBA), the College of Europe in Bruges (MA International Economics), and the University of Saarbrücken (Dipl-Kfm).

Robert Mücke
Investment Manager
Robert joined the NEXX Capital team in 2023. As an Investment Manager, he provides key support in transactions and in advancing the development of current portfolio companies. He has several years of experience in private equity and transaction advisory.
Prior to joining NEXX Capital, Robert worked as a restructuring advisor at FTI-Andersch and as an operational restructuring manager in private equity at Mutares. He holds a Master of Science in Finance & Investments from the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University, and a Bachelor of Science in General Management from the University of Mannheim.

Natali Nagel
Associate Legal & Finance
Natali has been part of the NEXX Capital GmbH team since 2004. With over 30 years of experience in the legal and financial sector, Natali brings comprehensive expertise to her role as Associate Legal & Finance. She previously worked at the law firm Dr. Stoffel & Partner in Cologne. She laid the foundation for her career with an apprenticeship as a legal assistant at the Cologne Bar Association.

Meike Reinstorf
Director of Finance
Meike joined the NEXX Capital team in 2013 and is now Director of Finance, responsible for the strategic and operational management of financial processes. She began her career in the financial sector in 2002 at EY WPG, where she most recently held the position of Senior Manager in the auditing department. During this time, she successfully completed her tax advisor and auditor exams. Meike laid the foundation for her professional career by studying business administration at the University of Applied Sciences in Stralsund, where she graduated with a degree in business administration.

Adrian von Puttkamer
Investment Director
Adrian joined NEXX Capital in 2019. As Investment Director, he plays a key role in formulating and implementing investment hypotheses, identifying companies, buy- and sell-side transactions, and portfolio development. Adrian has 10 years of experience in investment and transaction business.
Prior to joining NEXX Capital, Adrian gained experience in the transaction business at PwC and in large cap investment banking at Deutsche Bank. He holds a Master of Finance degree from Bond University, a Master of Science in Business Economics, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Magdeburg.

Florian Wiemken
Partner | Managing Director
Florian has been part of the NEXX Capital team since 2012. As a Partner and Managing director, his focus is on the investment business as well as the operational management and strategic development of NEXX Capital. Florian began his career in 2005 in the financial sector at PwC, where he initially gained extensive experience in auditing while working on assignments for mid-sized companies and international projects. His subsequent career steps included several years in the transaction services departments of PwC and Deloitte, where Florian specialized on advising large-cap private equity investors.
Florian holds degrees in economics (Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg) and law (LL.M., University of Münster) and is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
